happiest bdae ever..

this yr's bdae was really special
coz the celebrations seemed to spread over a few days
hahaha

first
during our retreat on 25.10.08 at 11pm
my colleagues celebrated for oct babies
after the retreat's themed dinner
despite everyone's eyes closing
and willing themselves not to fall asleep
lydia and serene took the trouble
to travel all the way into sentosa
juz to deliver the cake
so sweet rite (:

then
the very next day after my retreat
i had a great bunch of frens
celebrating for me at Timbre @ Substation

on deepavali
to recover from the retreat
i had a super good rest
which actually translates to mean
i slept more than half the day away la
hahaha
had a family dinner at vivo asian kitchen
my folks seem pretty pleased with the food
and dearest daddy, as usual, is in charge of the cake
and ta-daa! our happy family pic (:
my silly dog was, as usual, distracted
and not looking at the camera









as i was drifting off to sleep dat nite
i was a wee bit disappointed
dat no one wished me happy birthday at the stroke of midnite
dean was fast asleep waaayy before midnite lor
hmmph
oh well
i guess most, if not all, of my frens have lived pass dat stage in life
where we stay up late enuff to say happy birthday at midnite
hahaha
now everyone has to sleep early
to get up in time for work the next day
hmmm
i dun rem my frens and i ever being so enthu abt school
we'll juz stay up super late
and then go to school half asleep
hah

the first birthday wish was from serene at 0026hrs
she's a dear fren from work (:
thereafter, smses started coming in from 7am
i like to tink of it as pple remembering my bdae the first thing they woke up
so sweet rite
hehehe

had alone time with my dean
for the whole day on my bdae
we went shopping at plaza singapura
caught the movie “max payne”
proceeded to shop at tiong bahru plaza
and finally had dinner at brotzeit at vivocity









there he gave me the best bdae present
by proposing to me (read: across the table)
with a bouquet of pink roses
and a diamond ring












after dinner
we went on a romantic cable car ride
to sentosa, mt faber and then back to harbourfront
okay, it wasn’t dat romantic lah
coz i was quite scared at certain parts of the journey
and to balance the cable car
we had to sit opposite each other
plus the cable car was not lighted inside
so we had to talk in the dark
and all i could see was his dark silhouette
so much for romance eh
it's more like those blind date thingy
hahaha

the day ended on a perfect note
with gary’s 两只恋人 playing on the radio
just as we reached home
