todae was a long and busy day
went for my usual stuff in the morning
went goodwoodpark hotel to collect the durian cake i ordered for my mum
got so pissed off by the staff there
i pre-ordered 2 days ago
was met with a long queue when i reached there
and told to queue to collect my cake
"the cashier is new" [pointing to the machine]
pardon me for being stupid
but i dun quite understand hw dat explains the need for me to wait
then wat's the point of me pre-ordering??
"if u pre-order, it's definite that u'll get wat u want,
but if u walk-in, there's no guarantee."
duh!! tell me something i don't know
den wat's the stipulated time of collection for??
"we didn't expect so many walk-ins
u have to queue up to pay anyway"
like it's MY problem that YOU can't handle increased number of orders
to be fair to those who made an effort to plan ahead and pre-order
u shld open up 2 cashiers rite??
majority of the people in the queue are people who walk-in to buy the pastries
wasted more than half an hr queuing just to pay
wat really pissed me off
was the attutude of the JUNIOR CAPTAIN aka cashier girl
and the Asst Deli Manager
lame reasons
no smile
no apology
no nothing
wtf
if they can't afford for watever reasons to have 1 more cashier
they shld at least have the courtesy to warn me when i called to place the order
or at least say sorry
it's not the first time the hotel is holding a "durian festival"
or watever they call it
i believe they shld have some form of experience rite
fuck man
got me so angry
ok, mayb i made the wrong assumption dat all delis, bakeries etc work the same way
call/fax/walk-in to order a cake
specify date & time of collection
and when the day comes
collect cake, pay $, go
simple as dat
perhaps hotels dun work this way
pre-ordering only guarantees availability of the product

i'm still contemplating whether or not to write in
juz for the sake of it
but wat's the point rite
as if they will care
they will juz simply take out their SOP file
and search for the model reply letter
and reply to me, saying my comment is valuable
they'll look into the matter and improve on it blah blah blah
bullshit
but seriously
i wouldn't be so pissed off if not for the 2 staff in question
their attitude sucked big time

i have too high expectations of the hotel and its staff

went home with all the pent-up anger in me
felt better after my drive home
slacked ard for a while
had family dinner
to celebrate mother's day
no, i dun show my appreciation only on this day
i try to show it everyday
just dat todae [2nd sunday of May] is a wee bit more special
coz it's been ordained by someone eons ago to be mother's day
we went to a chinese restaurant at world trade centre
called dragon city restaurant i tink
or sumthing like dat
ala carte buffet
food was satisfactory
the dinner we had at tung lok was better
anyhow, we ate alot
damn bloated
really unhealthy eh

ydae was a long day too
met patrick for lunch at bugis
duck noodles & lime juice
yummy
ice-cream at swensen's
he had to go back office
so we went our separate ways
i decided to have some retail therapy
haha
bought some really nice stickers
for making cards
bought a pierre cardin wallet for myself

impulse purchase
it caught my eye lah
khaki brown
leather with leaf prints
last season's design
wallet shop was clearing stock
so prices were slashed
S$49.00 =D
bought a scrungee for my hair
was kinda cashless aredi
so decided to head towards home
detoured to clementi to have my eyebrows threaded
lazy to pluck lah
hehe
went home after dat
really
went night safari in the nite
with edalene, adrian, jianyang and cyril

the one beside mandai zoo
my first time there
go ahead

but i enjoyed myself

kinda nostalgic
feel like a kid all over again
going ooh and aah over the animals
walking thru the enclosure with live bats is so NOT fun
kinda freaked me out
tho they feed only on fruits
they still bite
saw quite a number of animals
quite unlike wat many people told me
dat they only saw a few animals coz the rest are asleep
we walked the entire way
was really tired after dat
fell asleep in adrian's car
really happy dat i've finally been to the place
but i still feel S$18 is a wee bit steep for entrance
